About HOH SPANISH LAB

HOH SPANISH LAB. was born when a group of parents, concerned by the lack of a robust Spanish foundation in their K to 4th grade kids, approached me with the idea of opening an after school Spanish program. With their help and support we created HOH SPANISH LAB., and in collaboration with the village of Hastings on Hudson we are now entering in our second year, kids seem to be enjoying it and parents are very pleased!.
Taking advantage of my very own teaching style and techniques, I follow a well established and innovative program which year after year has proven success among the youngest.
My goal at these ages is to teach the basic Spanish foundations of vocabulary, grammar structures, and pronunciation to set them up for success when they take more rigorous courses in middle and high school.
It is a fast-paced class where boring repetitions are replaced by a variety of humorous activities that engage all their senses with entertaining  visuals, songs, gestures and all sorts of games and activities.
As students progress to learn structures and vocabularies, additionally I like to introduce a sociocultural aspect where children also learn about different Hispanic-American traditions such as songs, typical costumes, food, artists and geography. Kids love to learn about other countries!
